Back to School: Dorm Decor

The days of boring, bland dorm rooms are over. There are a lot of great ways to spruce up your dorm room so it stands out from the rest! Here are some fun tips to help your style shine through in your small space.

To create more room, set up your bed like a daybed. Hang a great framed bulletin board above then surround it with photos and prints “framed” in Washi tape. Such a great look that you can easily change out and freshen up. Removable wallpaper is also a fun way to add color and pattern. If you don’t want to use it all over, just use it on an accent wall or on the ceiling for an unexpected touch.

A small side table next to your bed that can double as extra seating is a must, as well as a soft rug under foot. A trendy task lamp and fun desk chair are great ways to spruce up a bland desk.

Finish off the room with fun textiles. A vibrant print on your bedding and some eclectic throw pillows go a long way to bring your room to life. You can also hang inexpensive drapery panels to soften up the space.

And voila! You will have the chicest dorm in the building!
