We picked 5 inspirational winners from our New Year New You challenge and now we're sharing their stories. Last week we shared Deena's story and this week we're featuring Suzanne. Suzanne lost an impressive 8lbs during our challenge with a lot of hard work at DS & some nutrition help from Chelsea. Now she's feeling confident and strong!

After the challenge I feel like I have more energy, strength, and confidence. I also am surprised that I feel better about myself after having lost 8 lbs. during the challenge. I didn’t realize that those extra pounds were making me feel less confident and not as good about myself as I could. My “fat” jeans that I couldn’t wear comfortably before the challenge are now loose on me. I really didn’t think that 10 lbs. was that much weight, but it is.
Since the studio is so close to my house, the process of signing up for classes is simple, parking is easy, the studio equipment is new and nice, and classes are enjoyable, I thought that the Dancers Shape Challenge might just be the trick to start losing that weight. Going to the studio is very convenient & pleasant for me. A friend introduced me to the studio in late December 2014.
The Dancers Shape classes have strengthened my core like no other class I have taken. And I have taken a lot of different classes over the years - I am 43. I noticed that the classes helped my jogging like no other workout, too, which was a surprise. And like most women, I am thrilled to have found classes that I enjoy that also strengthen the buttock region.
My goal for the challenge was to get more fit and lose 10 lbs. – i.e., go from weighing 145 lbs. to 135 lbs. I have lost 8 lbs. through the workouts and a modified diet that Chelsea recommended. I am thrilled! This is the first time I have ever modified my diet to lose weight, and it was definitely an experience for me (a good one!). I worked with Chelsea by buying the Health Building Package, and I really got a lot out of that program. I am surprised by some of the things that I learned. I should lose the remaining 2 lbs. over the next 2 weeks. I’ve been losing 1 lb. per week like clockwork! And I am definitely more fit now.
Being healthy and fit is important to me so I can do what I want to do and feel good about myself. One’s health is really important.
