French Twist
Wear this style to an evening event for a sleek and sophisticated look.
You will need a brush, 1 large and a few small bobby pins, and hair pins.
Make a clean side part.
Using the brush pull hair into a smooth ponytail. Twist the ponytail and fan under.
Place the large bobby pin to the side of the ponytail.
Using the hairpins, gather some hair from one side and bring it over to hook into the large bobby pins.
Do this all the way down the twist. Then use the small bobby pins to gather any strays. This look can be done with all hair back, or some bangs down in front to frame the face.
Boho Braided Updo
This look is great because it looks complicated and intricate, but it’s actually very simple to replicate. Wear this to your next holiday party for a trendy and bohemian look. To replicate this look:
You will need two hair bands and several bobby pins.
Braid two sections of hair on either side of the face.
Pin the braids across the top of the head making sure to tuck in the hair bands at the end.
- Throw the rest of the hair up in a messy bun on top of the head and pin into place.
Ribbon Wrapped Half-Pony
This look is flirty and fun. Pair this style with dramatic makeup and wear to a New Year’s Eve party, or wear it with a neutral palette for daytime family gatherings. Here is how it’s done:
You will need a comb, hair band, a few bobby pins and a festive ribbon.
Using the comb, tease the hair on the crown of the head
Leave a small section of hair around the face down and put the rest up in a high half pony tail. (Make sure there is lots of volume on top!)
Pin the front pieces back behind the ear, and pull out a couple of tiny tendrils to frame the face.
Wrap the ribbon around the ponytail.
